• Former Australian captain STEVE WAUGH was the other cricketer to enter the  Bradman Hall of Fame alongside Tendulkar.

I am a huge fan of Sachin as many Indians are and this is a little poetry from my side as a tribute to the great man. 

Here was a milestone man

who scored the first hundredth ton

which created a sensation

All of them came through an act of demolition

of bowlers who were put to frustration

when he batted there was no tension in the nation

but for his opponents there was no answer to his domination

every shot of his was a perfection

in the game of great competition and concentration

And his track record was a sensation

he carried the pressure of more than a billion

and came through all the competition 

and did yeoman service to the nation

we are proud of him as a nation

and even his rivals applaud in admiration

for his unbelievable contribution

indeed he is one of god's greatest creation

MISSILE "NIRBHAY"

• Proving a host of technologies and bridging the critical gap in the country's arsenal, India's first long range SUBSONIC CRUISE MISSILE,"NIRBHAY",developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO),was successfully test fired from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, in Orissa, for a distance of about 1,000 km on Friday(17-10-2014).
• The 6m tall, low altitude flying missile which can evade detection by radars was fired from a mobile launcher at 10.05 am.
• The missile is capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

 KAILASH SATYARTHI:

A human rights activist ,Kailash Satyarthi has been in the forefront of a movement in India to end child slavery and exploitative child labour since 1980.He and his organisation,

Bachpan Bachao Andolan(BBA)-

the Save Childhood Movement, is striving to eradicate child labour in India.

MY OPINION:

Sir,your relentless struggle has been recognized and your achievement has made us proud and I feel everyone should join hands in eliminating Child Labour in our country. 

 MALALA YOUSUFZAI:

Malala Yousufzai is a Pakistani female education activist, known mainly for  human rights advocacy for education and for women in her native swat valley,where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school.Her advocacy has since grown into an International Movement.

           Malala, aged 17 becomes the youngest Nobel Prize Winner.

MY OPINION:
In the 17th edition of Asian Games that were held in South Korea India's medal Tally is:

	Medals       Gold  Silver  Bronze   Total Rank: 8       11     10         36          57

HIGHLIGHTS:

India's gold medal in Men's hockey defeating arch rivals Pakistan in a thrilling final.                                              

• India's dominance in Kabaddi(both Men's and Women's) continued as both won a gold medal.

• Indian Women won a gold medal in 4*400 metres relay(Athletics) setting a new record at the Asian games.

• MC Mary Kom's Gold medal in Women's Boxing.

• Besides these India won gold medals in events like Shooting,Archery,Squash,Wrestling,Discus throw(Women),Tennis.India also won Silver,Bronze Medals in various events.
• These Players who have made India proud should be felicitated and should be given enough recognition for the things they achieved. Indian Public should recognize their star sports persons and should support them for the future events so that they can bring many more laurels to the country in the future.
• There is a still a lot of  scope for improvement for the Indians and I wish India can win many more medals in the next Asian Games that are going to be held in Indonesia in 2018.
